I have been a teacher in the Altoona Area School District for over 25 years. I received my BS degree from Penn State University and obtained my Master's Degree from Saint Francis University soon after. I have experience in teaching kindergarten, second and third grades but have spent the large majority of my years teaching fourth grade. As a teacher, it is my goal to simply see that every child is the "best" student they can be! This includes academically, socially, and emotionally. This is NO small task! I'm a lifelong learner myself. In my spare time I enjoy playing the flute, vegetable and flower gardening, making sterling silver jewelry, knitting, cooking, refinishing furniture, upholstering ottomans, renovating old houses, and volunteering at "Mending Hearts" Dog Rescue. In fact, when you meet me, please ask me about my sweet pups Bella and Piper. I'd love to show you a few pictures!
