My name is Dana Kordwitz and I have been a teacher in the Altoona Area School District since 2004. I have been a proud Juniata Jaguar teacher since 2005. In 2004, I began my career as a day-to-day substitute teacher for the Altoona Area School District. In 2005 I was hired as a full time substitute teacher in fourth grade at Juniata and was hired the following year as a permanent fourth grade teacher at this wonderful school! After a few years of teaching fourth grade, I joined the fifth grade team! I am a graduate of Lewistown Area High School, Lock Haven University, and Saint Francis University.
My husband and I met in college and have been happily married since 2007. We have a furry daughter named Bailey who has been our beloved pet for 11 years, and our first daughter is on the way in February! We enjoy spending time with family and friends, and we look forward to creating memories with our daughter when she arrives!
